Hey, Im removing a cast iron tub and replacing with fiberglass gel coat type. Question is there's two 3/4" copper hot water heating lines running behind backside existing tub and approx 4" under tub. The new fiberglass tub is 2" higher meaning there's a 6" vertical space between top of hot water heating pipe and top of rear tub apron. Is there a chance of overheating new tub? Or is there a pipe insulation (armaflex) that would work for high temperature? (New tub inner back walls will be pretty damn close to pipes) Thanks in advance

I don't think there's any chance of damaging the tub, but I would insulate the pipes while I had access to them.

Insulate the pipes running under the T/S unit and don't worry, a fiberglass batt works well. or Amaflex.
