Converting old shower to a one handle model, help!
Author: Cyana714 (CA)

Hello see this photo
This is my old shower. I would like to convert this to how the newer showers are with one handle for hot and cold instead of 4 different knobs. What is this process called, what goes into this process. Thanks!

We can not discuss prices in this forum, but you're not looking at a large sum of money there. If it were me I'd pull that old surround off and use new wall panels, trim, and a new Delta single handle faucet.

What is on the other side of the shower wall?.That is were a Plumber would work from.

If one were to remove that wall surround all the work could be completed from the front side. There's a few too many holes in that panel to try and salvage it when using a single handle faucet.

If you're going to pull the walls off to install a new faucet, consider a total remodel.
