Recently turned water off for the whole house to fix a leak. Put water back on and now my upstairs toilet ( flushometer) makes a strong noise and sounds like pipes shutter for just an instant at the end of the flush cycle.Do I have air in the system? What can I do to fix this problem?

if you are all handy, shut off the water at the angle stop and take the top off the flushometer. it really isn't that bad to do. look at the parts for debris.

How old is your flushvalve and which brand. You may have some debris inside the body and diaphragm. Knowing which unit will help us to help you.
