pipe location companies specialize in what you are after.
you'll have to call around your area to ask about what equipment they have to help in tracing your pipe which is 5 feet deep.

I called one..they want 300.00 for the first hour to camera with a tracer...but if there is a tank right outside the wall like one guy thinks it's still 300

You just need the tracer/tracker, not the camera, although they may still charge that minimum.

I rented a SeeSnake and a Scout locator and did it myself for a few bucks less than the quote you got. I located and recorded about 300 feet of my own storm drain and sanitary sewer lines, so on a per-foot basis it was under a buck. I painted dots on the basement floor & the ground outside, along the path of the pipes for future reference. It was reasonably accurate in measuring depth, too, and my clay sewer is at least six feet under the lawn.

I was able to rent it on a Friday for one day. They let me keep it over the weekend at no extra charge and return it the moment they opened on Monday. I printed the manuals online and read them in advance, but it still took me a few hours to learn to run everything smoothly.
