 Trickle trickle
Author: aaron.d.hess (PA)

Sigh, just installed a new toilet in my 100 year old house. Floor is way out of level. Didn't realize how bad until I got the bowl seated. I shimmed up left to right about 1/4", but front to back was off by about 3/8" over 2'. I decided to accept it because I didn't want to screw up the wax seal by lifting the bowl that much. Now when I turned the water on, it flushes just fine and fills just fine. But when it's done filling I can hear a little trickle trickle. Toilet refills itself every 5 minutes or so. Is this because it's out of level? Any tweaks to the valve I can make or do I need to level it?

The tank shouldn't lose water and require a refill because it's a little out of level. Sounds more like a bad flapper/flush valve.

Or a refill tube that is into the overflow pipe too far.
