Caulk around new kitchen faucet?
Author: Munkim (CT) Hi! Just put a new kitchen faucet in and the directions don't say to caulk around it. I feel like I should caulk around it. What do you say? And if I should, what would you recommend? I would like something clear, as it is a nice faucet and hope I don't have to use that thick white stuff! Any help is very much appreciated!

Author: North Carolina Plumber (NC) No, do not caulk. You can use plumbers putty under the faucet. Some faucets come with rubber seals , if yours did then you don't need to use anything else. If the faucet is being mounted on a granite top then you'll need to use stain-free putty.
