 Caulk around new kitchen faucet?
Author: Munkim (CT)

Hi!
Just put a new kitchen faucet in and the directions don't say to caulk around it. I feel like I should caulk around it. What do you say? And if I should, what would you recommend? I would like something clear, as it is a nice faucet and hope I don't have to use that thick white stuff! Any help is very much appreciated! smiling smiley

No, do not caulk. You can use plumbers putty under the faucet. Some faucets come with rubber seals , if yours did then you don't need to use anything else. If the faucet is being mounted on a granite top then you'll need to use stain-free putty.
