I have a small sink with a Gerber 2 handle faucet attached. I developed a dripping faucet so I need to replace the old cartridges. I removed one handle, but I cannot remove the other. I removed both screws but could only remove one of the handles. The other one can be turned but it stuck when I try to lift it. I even tried without success to lubricate it using wd40 and also a lubricant called Blaster, bit to no avail. What am I not doing right?

if you are going to change your own washers then invest a few dollars in a handle puller.

I bought and tried using a handle puller, but it is just not working. The handle will not lift up. I don't know what else to try other than replacing the sink.

? cut and replace the handle ?

? hire an actual plumber ?

It seems to me that if I cutting the handle is the only other option,then the question becomes How do I cut a sink handle? Hiring a plumber for this type of job would cost more than replacing the sink.

Sounds like you've answered your own question. If you think a new sink is cheaper than hiring someone, than its time to replace the sink.

If you think you can replace the sink cheaper than having a plumber repair the faucet, then you have NOT replaced many sinks.
