 is THIS bypass safe for my water heater?????.....

Ok,please help with this issue.....i have a us craftsman propane water heater--Whirlpool label,model number BFG1F4040S3PV.....back in Feb.2016 the plumber i hired by using Home Advisor with excellent reviews,came and looked at it when we had no hot water.....he replaced the themo coupler,and we thought GREAT,problem solved.....two days ago no hot water again,so called the SAME plumbing company again,because i trusted them.....different guy from same company calls his boss who tells him to bypass the themo switch.....he left it this way,and i want to know if this is safe for using long term?????.....what should i do now if it is unsafe?????.....

It is NOT safe.

You need to call a LICENSED - BONDED - INSURED plumber.

UPDATE: SOLVED >>>>> talked to the main guy at plumbing place and they are sending out a new switch tomorrow to put on!!!!!.....but i THANK you because I would NOT have found this out if I had not posted and then called them!!!!!

A BONDED plumber would not have risked their 'bonding' by knowingly performing a dangerous action such as bypassing a REQUIRED safety device.

In a perfect world, of course.

Nor would a competent plumber.
