This is a bathtub faucet for a mobile home. The screw broke off in the valve for the knob so I had to get it replaced. The problem is that the valves do not screw in tightly into the white plastic hole. Would I be able to replace the whole white plastic part? Since it is already sticking out of the wall I was hoping that there is a way that it just screws off and I would be able to screw a new one back on. Or is this something that I would have to go into the wall to replace?

You will have to access from the back to replace it. There's usually a swivel poly X compression 90 and a shank nut on the back side that will have to be removed before the faucet can be pulled free from the tub wall.
