 Pooling is shower pan
Author: todd kwoczka (PA)

Hi, I was wondering if you could give me a technical observation on this issue if you want. Had new shower and new pan with wall tiled in bathroom. I have lot of water just sitting/pooling in in the shower pan around the drain, and in middle and back of glass shower panel. . Also about 20 water spots in shower pan just siting there. Water is draining, but all these water spot in pan are not reaching drain. Installer told me that is not their fault. The install told me it is the shower pan manufacturer to blame. I did a google search, and no complaints of shower pan water just sitting in shower pan, and not draining property.

Todd you need an onsite inspection by an independent party. Per your previous post, the contractor claims the pan was installed level(I assume level is the perimeter of the pan). If the pan perimeter is level, then either the pan floor was manufactured without proper slope to the drain, or the installer warped the center of the pan by improper bedding/support. An onsite evaluation will determine if the floor has proper slope.
