HELP! Low hot water pressure in one faucet only!
Author: Laurenf18 (PA)

Hello. We have been experiencing very low water pressure in our kitchen sink. We replaced the faucet last month and about a week later is when the pressure became low. It was fine right after the new faucet was installed. We also replaced the pipes under the sink with the flexible meshy-looking pipes, I forget what they're called. We also had put water heater replaced less than a year ago and the pressure in the rest of the house is fine. I also though I heard a thump under the sink right before the pressure became low (could I be losing my mind?? Ha ha). Could it be the new faucet or the mesh-like pipes underneath? The valves under the sink and on all the way. Please advise. Thank you soooo much!

I must add that it was a fairly inexpensive faucet that we chose at lowes. Could it be faulty since it was cheap? Thanks.

Does it have a separate pull out spray ? If so does it work ok ? Is the problem just with the hot water or is the cold water affected also ? The problem could be debris in the aerator on the end of the spout, or the diverter is sticking, thus the clunk you heard. If you used a flood safe braided supply line that might also be the problem.

Yes. It is only the hot water. The sprayer won't stay when the water is on hot because there is not enough pressure. It is a a BrossCraft connector for a faucet. It's longer than it needs to be. Could that be the issue. Maybe it's too long. It's 16". It also says speedi plumb PLUS.

I would start with disconnecting the supply hose from the faucet and checking the flow from the hose into a bucket. If it's low, I would check the angle stop for debris or loose washer.
