Every time I wash a load of clothes, both sides of my sink in the kitchen fill up about two thirds of the way to the top with dirty water that looks like it contains food put down the garbage disposal earlier. I can get one side down with the garbage disposal, but it will eventually come back up. It goes down after a while, but happens with every load of clothes I wash. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and how it can be fixed? Thanks for any advice! P.S. I do NOT have a septic tank.
UPDATE: Just realized it is also leaking from the washing machine!

You have a blockage between the pipes that feed your Clothes washer and sink. You need to snake the line after it drains down below the clean out. Where is your nearest cleanout. It is advisable to use the sink outlet and not the close washer stand pipe, if you don't have a clean out. This line should be a 2" line and the clean out plug can be 1 1/2". But you need a snake for a 2" line i.e. 3/8" snake. Flush the line after you snake it as you retrieve the snake.
