 Adding a kitchen sink
Author: anneee (MN)

Hi,
I need a second kitchen sink and I also need new countertops.

I was thinking that it would be wise to have a plumber help choose the location of the second sink before having the new countertops installed. If I purchased the sink and faucet, would a plumber cut through the old formica to install them? My plan is to have the new sink installed, then have the countertop installer come in and do his part.
What do you think?

Thank you!

A plumber would NOT normally assume the liability for cuttiong the hole for the sink. You decide where you want the sink, the plumber installs the drain and water, then you get the new countertops with the sink installed, then he connects the sink.
