 Under bath tub support
Author: DIY HOME OWNER (VA)

I have an old plastic tub which flexes and has some cracks but doesn't seem to be leaking through. Cutting out part of the sheetrock on the other side of the wall, there's no mold, mildew or dampness but I plan on putting down fiberglass matting/roving to redo the tub bottom. First I need to put some support underneath. Structolite sounds like it'l work but I can only get in from that one wall. Can this be squished, pumped, squirted somehow to completely fill in the bottom area? Also, how long does it take to set up?

IF the tub is fully anchored so that it would be impossible to lift up you could you use a can of expanding spray foam. But with caution because the expanding foam is strong enough to lift a tub full of water. The long plastic nozzle will allow you to reach to hard to access areas.

 Thanks for the idea thumbs

Yes the tub is anchored and I thought about the foam as I've used it in the past but for different purposes. The problem with foam is that it compresses over time. But thanks for the idea.
