Hello,
I just moved into a place with a portable washing machine. This is definitely an upgrade since I didn't have one at all in my previous apartment. The problem is that in order to use it, I need to wheel it to the hallway and hook it up to my tap. This blocks me from accessing half of my apartment.
Purchasing a longer hose would solve this problem, but this doesn't appear to be an option. Instead, I'm looking to see if I can extend the hose that it comes with. Here is a picture of the hose:
My questions are:
1. How would I go about extending both parts of the hose (intake and output)
2. Would there be any adverse affects to extending the hose
The washing machine is a GE WSLP1500J0WW.
Thanks in advance.

all problems should be this easy to solve.
you need a hose by hose nipple..
a washing machine hose of whatever length necessary...
an insert coupling for the end of the drain hose ( might be 7/8?)
a couple of hose clamps and a hose the same size as the end of the drain hose.

Hi packy,
Thank you for the information. I've never done anything like this before. What tools will I need?
Worse comes to worse, if I don't feel comfortable doing this myself, will a hardware store do it for me?
