Bathroom sink - pop up assembly
Author: Quizzle23 (CO)

I installed a pop up assembly last night in my bathroom sink and now I have a "drip" leak between the body of the pop up assembly and the tail piece. I do not believe I can tighten it any more so my question is; is there some sort of puddy or something that I should but on the threads of the tail piece?

Check closely to see if the leak is actually from the nut under the rubber washer that seats against the underside of the sink.

It may not be coming from the tail-piece threads. It may be coming from above. Did the drain come with a foam gasket to put under the flange, inside the sink?

I did check that because at first it was leaking so I tightened it. It is coming from where the body and tail piece connect.

YES. Especially if you did NOT put anything on the threads when you installed it. Pipe dope is best, TPFE tape also works.
