out door drain in outside basement entrance

putting in a floor drain at the bottom of a stairs leading into the basement...an out door entrance

builder wants to run it through the footing into a sump pump crock that he also has drain tile going into....they will have 2 sump pump crocks in this house

im planning on using a Sioux Chief sediment bucket drain and not using a trap...then i dont need any venting...its not really plumbing as i see it....im treating it just like drain tile...

is there any issues with this that any of you can see?

ive run these before...but w/ a trap to the actual plumbing system w/ a vent......always passed inspection...i run them in garages all w/ a trap/vent to sanitary.....i go through footings & block walls all the time into the sanitary system

ive run them w/o a trap to daylight out the side of a garage on a hill....

just never ran one w/o a trap to a storm crock inside the house.....i suspect its going to be a phone call to the inspector to verify..

i had a grey area issue this past year about hanging a water pipe with 2 hole strap on a HVAC duct (1 strap) to sturdy up a pex line.......it went through 2 different opinions with the State of WI....in the end they said i had to prove the strength of the duct and if it could handle the extra weight....then one guy said to make sure i use a rubber gasket on the screw to assure no air leaks......then i look at the duct...its full of sheet metal screws w/o rubber gaskets..thats how its put together......in the end i hung a board from the ceiling and strapped it to the board to pass inspection.....

im going to ask the inspector for sure before moving forward on this one....i dont see any issues with doing it as planned....ive run plumbing through footings probably 25x's in my career...all to sanitary
