 slow water drip from shower
Author: Rcclement (CA)

We've just installed a new shower system with the Toto TSPTM pressure balancing valve. After the initial installation, the tub spout dripped slowly, intermittently over the next day or so - like 2 drips a minute. We then replaced the cartridge and everything in front of it (O rings, etc.) and the drip has slowed but it is still there - maybe 1 drip every 5 minutes. So it is a very slow.

This doesn't seem normal to me, but I don't know. Could this be residual water from the showerhead? That would mean the residual is taking a day to pass through the system. The system automatically triggers the diverter when the water is turned off and we've also manually done that after the water is turned off.

What could this be??

Shower heads, hand spray systems, etc., may drip after use upwards of one half hour (liberal) from residual, but after that, it can only be a faulty valve.
