Whole home UV water purifier install
Author: Tonnage (Non-US)

Hello, I'm trying to hook up a whole home UV water purifier, the 2 connections on the UV canister are 3/4" stainless steel male ends. I'm just wondering if it's ok to use two 3/4" threaded female copper connections to the stainless steel male ends without any adverse affects to the metals not being compatable or making a watertight seal? I'm not soldering them just using Teflon tape and using a wrench to tighten, the rest of the copper will be soldered off the 3/4 inch threaded connector. I was considering using shark bites with pex but apparently UV light will deteriate the pex and I'm assuming the plastic nipple inside the shark bite. It was recommended to come off the UV canister 12" with copper piping, will it work using the 3/4" threaded female copper connector to the 3/4" male stainless steel end? Or is there a better setup to use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
