I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get the inlet connector (L) to go on the supply tube (E)

[s7d1.scene7.com]

It worked on the hot line, but I can't get it snap on at all for the cold one. Anyone else have this problem or know some trick I'm missing?

impossible to tell you what is wrong without a picture of the actual parts you are trying to put together but for an educated guess i would say either you broke something or it has a factory defect. there is also the possibility you are not holding you mouth right (yes that is really a thing, to me at least, as someone else might get it together in a heart beat)

WOW, the inlet connectors attach to the supply tubes with "O" rings and clips ??? those are under pressure 24/7 and should something go wrong in a few years, there will be a major flood.
i can see using something like that to connect to the spout because that only has pressure when you turn on the hot and/or cold. should that ever break it will only leak when you turn the handles.
sorry to say but i wouldn't use that faucet in my house...
P/S, those inlet connectors normally come soldered to the supply tubes.

That's why Sharkbite fittings should not be used as a permanent repair in my opinion.
