Installing gas line to stove

I am replacing an electric stove with a gas stove. In the past, there was a gas stove, but prior house owner removed it. In the stove area, there is a hole in the floor along the back baseboard. 4" under the hole, in the basement, is access to 3/4" black pipe gas supply line with a T and Valve where I presume the old stove gas line was connected. My question is: Can I run a 48" CSST from that valve under the floor, up through the hole in the floor and connect directly to the stove? Or must I extend a solid black pipe with through the floor first, add a valve on it then connect the CSST line to the stove?

Author: hj (AZ) CSST specifically states that it CANNOT be used as an appliance flexible connector, so rigid pipe and an approved flex connection is your only option..

Author: m & m (MD) It must be an approved gas appliance connector. The connector must be attached to a gas valve located behind the range. Edited 1 times.

Author: packy (MA) so, just leave the gas cock in the basement. add a nipple thru the floor and put another gas cock. then the flex connector. BTW, the majority of gas stoves i am installing on new construction are combo units. gas cooktop and electric oven.
