Our master bath shower leaks constantly. I've had the plumber out to fix it, but he said he's never seen the part before. It was suggested to me that it's Moen so I ordered a Moen replacement part, but it does not work/fit. I had the plumber back again to take the shower faucet apart so I could take picture to post here. I sure hope someone here knows who the heck makes this part.

What part do you need? That is a Moen "Positemp" valve and if the plumber does not know it, he is NOT a very competent repair person.

Be that as it may, I had prior to this posting ordered a Moen Positemp 1222B and it is NOT the same part which is why I'm posting again. The 1222B is taller and thinner while the part just taken out is wider/fatter.

That doesn't look like a Moen cartridge to me.

Then we need a picture of the one that is in the faucet. You said "pictureS" below but I only see one of the outside of the faucet.

Thank you so much, Paul. I'll check with our plumber to see what new parts he/I need to order. (Thanks to all for your replies/help.)
