Found a hairline crack in my current toilet so I need to replace it.
I've read up on how to measure rough in (which I'd never heard the term before). I just want to make sure I'm calculating correctly.
Between wall and tank is approximately a 1" gap.
From wall to bolts on base of toilet is 11".
So I'm guessing my rough in is 10" and not 12"...correct?

no, the rough in measure is 11 inches. you currently have a 10 inch toilet installed which give you the 1 inch space behind the tank.
so, some 12 rough in toilets will fit with 11 inches of space. I think to be safe you should get a 10 inch rough toilet.

I think a Toto Drake will fit still even on a 12" rough, but check the specs to be sure.

Going by the spec sheet the bowl is at least as far from the wall as the tank.

So if you have baseboards (and sometimes even a quarter round in front of that) that may come into play.

this shows the drake 2. only 5/8 behind the tank.
also 1 9/16 behind the bowl put 3/4 thick baseboard on the wall and the clearance is 7/8..

Most of the 10" rough toilets the tank is the only thing that is different. Buy a 12" and return the tank for a 10" if it doesn't fit.
