I need to get a repair kit to fix some cracks in the base of my shower stall. How do I determine if I have an acrylic or fiberglass unit. Thanks

Honestly, attempting to patch a cracked floor won't do much. It broke because it is unsupported underneath and even if you patch it, it will split out again. Until there is support under the shower, it can't be 'fixed'. You will probably end up having to replace the base of the shower at a minimum and having concrete or mortar put under the base.

acrylic has the color all the way thru. fiberglass has the color only on the surface.

Acrylic and Fiberglass offered freedom from the use of ceramic tile on the walls of the shower. This was a major step forward in making tub and shower areas easier to maintain.
