HELP, HAVE WELL AND THIS MORNING NO WATER IN HOUSE. FOUND WATER GUSHING FROM PVC THAT GOES FROM PUMP TO PRESSURE TANK, WENT IN HOUSE AND SHUT CIRCUIT BREAKER TO PUMP, REPAIRED PVC TURNED IT BACK ON AND PUMP ISNT MAKING NOISE AND
ISNT FILLING UP PRESSURE TANK WAS AFRAID TO LEAVE IT ON TOO LONG (CAN IT BURN OUT) PRESSURE TANK SOUNDS EMPTY AND VERY VERY LIGHT BEFORE I SHUT IT OFF PUMP WAS PULLING WATER FROM WELL TO PUMP AND VERY STRONG. CAN SOMEONE HELP . DONT KNOW HOW LONG PVC WAS BROKE(PUMP SETUP IS IN BACK OF HOUSE) BUT IM THINKING A COUPLE OF DAYS WATER PRESSURE IN BACK BATHROOM VERY VERY SLOW. SO HOW LONG CAN I LET PUMP RUN WITHOUT DAMAGE TO IT. THANKS B GIORDANO SOUTH FLORIDA

If your pressure switch has a low water cut-off safety feature, it has to be manually reset to restart the pump.

You'll likely need to prime the pump to get it working again.

It is hard to determine from your post whether or not the pump motor actually runs or not.
