 Snake head stuck in toilet
Author: Cody325 (NY)

While pulling stuck snake it broke and the head got stuck in the toilet. Pulled the bowl took the tank off and tried putting another toilet snake through both sides and it just passes it and comes out the other side. Just to make sure it didn't pass through I hooked the toilet back up flushed just a little paper and it backed up again after doing it twice and is flushing crazy now. Any suggestions on how to get it out? It's one of those nice kholer toilets. Just the snakehead is somewhere halfway through it where I can't see

What kind of snake was it? What kind of head was on it? It will probably take a lucky try with a coat hanger, or a modified closet auger to get the job done. The head of the retriever will have to spin backwards to catch and unhook the offending auger. If it is flushing crazy, you may have broke the china between the trapway and just below the tank to bowl connection and water can be dumping partially down the trapway.

I've had to remove many different things, strange things at times, from toilets. Pulling the toilet so I could go from the bottom is usually best. An inspection camera from any big name supply house is useful to see where, what and how the blockage needs to be removed. Hope this helps.
