 new faucet drips
Author: Jonf (VT)

Just installed an Aquasource faucet in bathroom, and it drips at the faucet. I think i have isolated the problem being with the hot-water handle/valve not closing completely to stop the flow (although the dripping water doesn't seem all that hot). Would prefer not to uninstall and return the faucet to Lowes. Is there anything I can do at the cartridge to stop the drip? Tightening something? Apply grease somewhere? Thanks.

Change the faucet or the hot water stem. Nothing else will stop the drip. buy another faucet, use its hot stem, then return the faucet as defective. If the new stem does not stop the drip, change the entire faucet, then return IT as defective.

Thanks, hj. I was afraid it would come down to that. I was hoping the drip might be a common occurrence with Aquasource faucets and a quick fix was available.

You may have purchased another customer's return (recycled) faucet. New defective faucets, rarely to none, improve with age. You are wise to return it for an unopened box.

Best Wishes

That's about the "quickest fix" you can come up with.
