No Hot Water getting to washing machine
Author: JCJones (TX)

We noticed that the water was staying really cold in the washing machine as we did the laundry today. I checked the valves on the wall behind the washer to make sure someone hadn't turned them off... they were fine. We had hot water everywhere else in the house too. I was really confused. The water was fine when I washed just the other day. When I start filling the washer with water and turn the "cold supply" and "hot supply" valves off and then back on I noticed that nothing is coming out of the left side hose whether it is on or off. What would cause that and how can I fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

could be something real simple..
check for a filter screen in the hose and also on the back of the machine where the hose attaches.

Clean the screen in the hot water inlet to the washer. Hose may have one also, and washer should have one pressed into the inlet fitting.
