We moved into a house with a "pool house" that was added after house was built, and it has a toilet / running water. After using it last summer, the toilet had a lot of issues draining/getting stopped up, etc. Upon investigation, I found that the waste pipe they ran from the pool house into the basement of the house is only a 2" diameter, explaining alot.

Because the 2" pipe is under concrete patio / extensive amounts of landscaping, etc., etc., I thought an "easy fix" might be to install a macerator toilet to use, as the 2" drain pipe could then handle the macerator waste.

But is there any macerator toilet out there that discharges back into the toilet waste pipe underneath the toilet ? Or am I going to have to seal off the existing toilet pipe, and find a new way to tap into the 2" pipe for the macerator outlet?

Author: hj (AZ) Depending on WHEN I moved in, I might consult an attorney especially if there was an inspection before purchase, because that would NEVER have been an approved line.
