My home oil tank is 27" x 44" x 66" need to know aprox gallons?

There should be a tag on the tank, but if not compute the volume of the top and bottom half as a cylinder and then the volume of the remaining "cube" between them. If I remember correctly, and it has been at least 55 years since I worked with one, it is about 250 gallons.

It is a 275 gallon tank (nominal).

a 275 gallon oil tank is 60 inches long. a 330 gallon is 6 inches longer. so, 66 inches long tank = 330 gallons.

A 330 gallon tank is 12" longer (72"- I have one. A 275 is typically 60" long- I just figured he added handles/etc. to come up with an odd size of 66" L.

once again my friend from MD has ,rightly so, corrected my error.
i remembered that a 330 tank was longer but i forgot it was a foot longer.
so, i guess, i forgot to remember to forget.
