Bathtub faucet Moen. Uses the Moen 1222 Post Temp Catridge. When turn to hot it barely runs warm water. Turning to cold works fine. Does not leak. Decided to replace the cartridge. Pulled out the old cartridge. Cleaned out the pipe where cartridge inserts. Did not see any debri inside.
Replaced with new 1222 cartridge and have the same problem. Called Moen. Their advice is to pull the cartridge again and turn the water on to flush out the pipe in case of mineral deposits. Told me that I would also need another new cartridge as the new one likely got plugged when I turned the water back on after replacing it. Seems a bit far fetched to me.
I hate to have water everywhere by turning the water back on to flush. Would have to deflect the water into the tub somehow.

Take the cartridge out and rotate it 180 degrees so the "hot H" is on the right side, then insert it. If it is the cartridge, you will not get cold water now. IF there is still no hot water, then it is the piping.
