I'm starting my kitchen remodel and I need to install a water line to the fridge. It will come from an RO unit under the sink. I will have walls opened up for other work that is going on.
My question is about the water line. Should I install the 1/4" poly tubing or run 1/2" PVC in the walls? I have read that the poly tubing is prone to pin hole leaks developing. Which is best? Thanks

Are there PEX connectors that don't require special tools and are still reliable? I will only have 2 connectors to install.

I usually run a 1/2" or 3/4" PEX line and then push a 3/8" PEX, or poly, feed line through it.
