 Munchkin heater
Author: P4murnane (MA)

Hi I have a 3 unit heating system. Munckin brand. My units Basement first floor and upper.
Hot water is flowing to the basement and the upper upper floor but not on the first floor. It feels like there is hot water in the base of the green valve but for some reason water is not flowing through the pipes. We have cranked the thermostat to 82 for a couple of hours and still nothing.. Rest of the house is fine but just the first floor with the kitchen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Since we do not know HOW the system is piped, or what the "green valve" is, there is no way to diagnose it. Usually someone has to actually be there to do a good diagnosis.

Munchkin makes a good product. It could be as simple as a faulty thermostat wire. A bad zone valve or circulator pump could also be the problem. It will take someone onsite to properly diagnose and repair the problem.

If by units you mean zones, and the green valve is a zone valve..... You might want to look on the green valve for a manual by-pass lever.
