most pop up drains get hair and soap gunked up around them; remove it and clean it, then test the drain

That pipe reducing coupling would be an item of concern.
The pop-up assembly naturally needs to be checked first.

I checked the popup drain and there was nothing inside. All clear.
What's the pipe reducing coupling?

I checked all PVC piping that are shown in the picture. No obstructions. Any ideas on what else might be causing the slow draining? Is there a device I can get that would help this?

is the water slow to drain every time? I didn't look at the picture before, but now that I see it has an aav, I would find that a viable suspect. try removing the air admittance valve and turn the water on and see if that fixes the problem

It's slow each time. It's not an aav it's a mechanic valve. When I take the valve off, the drain does move quicker, but then water overflows out the top of the vent pipe.
