Trying to install a Waste King 8000 garbage disposer in the kitchen, and running into some space issues.
The main drain out is almost at the same level as the outlet on the disposer, maybe a quarter to a half inch below the outlet. However, given the 1.5" PVC pipes being used, the only way the p-trap fits is by angling it.
In the image, the angle of the joint shows the inclination of the trap. I believe this might be an okay installation, but wanted to confirm?
Is this okay (in Connecticut), or does this mean the main line should absolutely be taken down?
Appreciate the help! Thank you very much.

Hope you're going to put a slip joint washer and nut on the inlet.

You should be able to get the trap vertical by rotating the disposer to get its drain outlet further away from the trap, mount the tailpiece attached to the disposer horizontally and then swivel the now vertical trap to hook up with the tailpiece using a 90.

The outlet in the wall is too high to do that, which is why he is trying this alternative to breaking open the wall.
