I can almost hear you guys saying 'ask the inspector,' but...
I want to install a wood stove near a gas line. I guess that if I can't get the proper clearance, I have to have the gas line moved?
Thanks!

Unless the gas line is leaking, what would be the problem with it being "near a wood stove"?

"NEAR" doesn't begin to describe your question. A picture, hopefully, will describe more accurately.. what you want and the local codes.

There are plenty of gas stoves in close proximity to a gas line.

Yes, like ALL of them and water heaters, boilers, and furnaces also. Not to mention gas logs and log lighters in fireplaces.
