replace "bar" faucet with pull down in granite top
Author: charlesh (CA)

In our kitchen center a bar faucet (2 holes 4" center) was installed in the granite top. I need to replace it with a new, preferably pull down kitchen faucet. Problem: two holes are drilled in the granite, 4" apart. The new faucets are mostly for single hole installation. Most offer an escutcheon to cover the wholes but not for the 4" holes apart. And to keep the new faucet on center to the sink, I need to drill a new hole in the granite. Anything better? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated

This will be off center by 2" but with the side handle, will appear symetrical. And it doesn't require any drilling.

Put the faucet in one hole and a soap dispenser in the other. However, you will probably have to enlarge the holes if they just made them large enough for the 4" faucet's shanks.
