 Soldering copper fittings
Author: Sweaty (IN)

I have a situation where it is necessary for me to solder two copper fittings that are only about 1/8" apart. Obviously, I can connect the two with a very short piece of copper pipe, but will I be able to get a good joint on both fittings by trying to solder them at the same time?

No problem. Make sure you apply heat to both fittings.

If one of the fittings can be a st. fitting, then you'll only need to make one solder joint.
On the other hand I routinely solder fittings hub to hub with only the tiniest gap between the two fittings.
