I am interested in buying a house and would like to replace the bidet that is currently in the master bathroom with a tub. A whirlpool tub preferable. Is this possible?

As my Dad used to say, "Anything is possible if you have enough time and money". One thing in your favor is that you already have the hot and cold piping and a 1 1/2" "P" trap under the floor. You just have to move things to where the tub will sit.

some bidets drain into the wall via a chrome P-trap.
if yours is one of those it could make the change-over much more difficult.
otherwise, as hj says, you are more than 1/2 way there...

quote; some bidets drain into the wall via a chrome P-trap.
They are very, very rare, though.

so hj, what you are saying is that bidet that drains to the wall via a P-trap is about as common as a D-backs win?

If you use that as a comparison, then those bidets must be EVERYWHERE.
