I replaced all of the parts for my bathtub faucet handles (knobs, stems and seat from an all in one kit from Home Depot) and everything looks good however when I turn the tub on with either hot or cold water, water drips a little bit as I'm turning the water on, but then stops after I stop turning the handles.
I when I removed the old knobs, they were very hard to get off due to the lime build up and looked like there was a lot of build up inside the knobs. Obviously water was coming out of the old ones, but I'm just not positive that this is normal and is supposed to happen or if I installed wrong or possibly have an issue with the diverter behind the wall.
Hopefully I've included all details, but let me know if I missed anything.
Any help would be so great, and thank you!

Defective new stems perhaps. Could you post a picture of the stems you replaced?

Probably a Pfister faucet. It is not the way I would have rebuilt the faucet, but you just have to tighten the packing nuts.

What brand of faucet? How old is the faucet and did you use OEM parts or Generic Parts Kit?
Best Wishes
