 No hot water in bathroom
Author: Bradg07 (PA)

I have no hot water in my bathroom. My hot water heater is about a year old. I have hot water everywhere but there. My bathroom with no hot water has 2 faucets(hot/cold). I don't believe there is anti-scald in the faucets. I replace plastic pieces inside the hot faucets trying to fix the problem but no dice. I checked all the plumbing and it looks good. Here were things get odd. I have 2 bathroom in my house. The bathroom with no hot water is the 1st. The 2nd bathroom has a anti-scald faucet(one handle). If I run the 2nd bathroom at the same time, the 1st bathroom is hot. I don't know if the 2nd bathroom anti-scald is messing it up. Or if there is a hidden anti-scald?

Thanks
Brad

Is the water heater a tankless ? If so you might not being getting enough flow to fire the heater.

what if you shut off the valves under the sink , remove the water supply lines, and run straight from the shut off into a bucket?

we do not know enough about your plumbing system to give an answer. IF you have a recirculation system, and IF it is piped in such a way that the closest bathroom is at the end of the loop, that could cause it, but it would be an odd way to install it.

I don't know what that means. But the plumbing is run straight. Like hot water tank is in the beginning in the basement, the copper pipe just going straight and T off to the sinks and bathrooms. All my water supply is in my hallways. So it's a basic system. Than everything goes the septic tank.

If you hot water piping is "just a basic system", then your description of what is happening is illogical because the hot water would have to pass that bathroom to go anywhere else so it WOULD have hot water. I would have to actually see, and test, your hot water to see if my definition of a "basic system" is the same as yours.
