 Sump pump discharge line
Author: Wizard48038 (MI)

Hi

Couple pics before and after. I have water coming out vent which is new. I tied in backup water line just incase it ever goes off. My main water line has some discharge out the vent and not sure if I created a vacuum issue.

Thanks

A couple things. Does the 3" or 4" daylight or drain into the ground? The new tee is upside down. If the backup pump turns on, it will shoot water across the tee and out the vent. How much water comes out he vent? Splash or is the 3"/4" blocked and water is backing up and out the vent? Having some water leak out when the backup is on can be a good thing, to let you know that maybe there's a problem with the main pump(like a secondary A/C drain visibly daylighting to show a problem with main drain).

Thanks for seeing it’s upside down. Ugh. Prior to the install there was no water. It seems to more than a splash due the ground erosion. I am going to rework it. 1.5 to 3” pipe goes down about a foot hit a 90 and runs a distance to a sewer line.
