Low profile or shallow garbage disposer
Author: sum (FL)

Often I have seen people run into the disposer outlet height being not high enough compared to the wall drain due to installing a deep sink or adding a garbage disposer or both. The solution is often having to open the wall to lower the drain, or in some cases the drain santee is three stud bays over with a kitchen window above and the last stud is a triple king/jack studs, not to mention the cabinet backs are being tore apart too in the process.

The other alternatives are to plumb it anyway and live with the disposer being half filled with water all the time, or flip the J bend so the high side connects to the disposer outlet.

Or find a low profile disposer where the vertical distance between bottom of sink and outlet pipe center elevation is smaller. What is the smallest you have ever seen? The smallest one I have seen is about 5.5", have you seen any smaller ones?

Sum, I know I'm not really answering your question but if you're really close you can use a dwv p-trap with a swivel in the middle and a street trap adapter.

They make low inlet traps but they are hard to find.
