Author: palfer (AZ) Since this diverter is discontinued can someone suggest an alternative? The 1/2 male pipe is slightly recessed behind the wall so typical universal threaded spouts are not an option. Thanks!

Author: steve (CA) If it's an actual nipple and not a soldered copper male adapter, the nipple can be unscrewed with an inside pipe wrench. A nipple or male adapter can be lengthened with a coupling or a copper female adapter soldered on to a short copper pipe stub. If a more basic looking spout is acceptable, I like the Delta pull-down diverter spouts.
