American Standard commode Tank
Author: etsiap (WA) -I have a broken tank on an American Standard Plebe commode. -The numbers under the lid are (the best I can tell) 24 AOJ 1989. -Then another stamp: 1848. -The condo where this commode was installed was built in ~1990-95. -I'm looking for a replacement tank. -The holes that attach the tank are 5" from the center of each other. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Author: george 7941 (Canada) You have a wide choice. The majority of the toilets from that era, irrespective of the manufacturer, will have tanks that will fit your bowl. You need a tank with a 2 inch flush valve. You can cruise around on garbage day and look for a discarded toilet. Or you could go to a store, like ReStore, that sells used stuff.
