Hello.
I'm working on replacing the old faucets on my tub (leaking). I opened up access behind the tub and found only water lines running into the wall over the tub (and no cut off for either line.)
Question: How do I remove this one and will a new, modern style faucet fit here?

Are you not able to find repair parts for your current valves? Being that your bathtub has a shower attachment, if you want to replace it with another 2 handle valve, the valve should be pressure balanced/anti-scald protected and that is not available in a 2 handle valve(or very rare), so a separate protection device should also be installed. A modern single handle valve will include scald protection and you can use a remodel trim plate to cover the existing valve holes in the tile. Do you know what the water supply piping is made of (galvanized steel, copper,non-metallic)?
