Author: george 7941 (Canada) Sometimes the supply hoses can be unthreaded just by turning the hose by hand. That damage looks like it was inflicted on the hose by chafing and not a manufacturing defect. It feels heavy duty to you, is it a brand name faucet?

Author: steve (CA) The hoses screw into the faucet base. I see a couple places selling this faucet. I see no manufacturer name and different part numbers. One faucet model number is - F90018-WTRS. Edited 1 times.

Author: waitingtohear (CA) I followed your information and got them removed. I also did see what looks like a chafing issue. However these tubes still look like very cheap material as well. Here is a video showing the leak area up close and the material used. I am assuming this is cheap stuff and should be upgraded yes? [drive.google.com]
