I need to transition from Polybutylene pipe to PEX - B. Although I have metal (brass) couplings, does anyone know of a place to get plastic couplings? The issue is that our well water corrodes metal like crazy - the water is 30 grains hard and maybe a bit acidic to boot. Failing that, would something like the Sharkbite couplings be less (or more) susceptible to corrosion than the brass couplings? I also saw stainless steel couplings someplace - would these be more corrosion resistant than the brass ones?
Many thanks.

i can think of 2 solutions..
1) use a PB x Male adapter screwed into a pex x female adapter. none of us like using any female threaded fitting because if stress cracking..
2) [www.aquorwatersystems.com]

Over 20 years ago I have used quite a few heavy duty acetal Qest/Qwiktite fittings to transition from polybutylene to copper and pex.

I use a few sharkbite PB to CTS transition fittings, but all those are visible & accessible and temporary in nature until I completely replace all the PB tubings.
