Slow Flush on Only ONE Toilet?!?
Author: JeffNC (NC)

Our double-wide mobile home has two toilets and a septic tank; all have worked flawlessly for decades.

Now ONE toilet is flushing slowly As if the septic tank is full) but the other flushes as it always has. If it were a full septic tank, wouldn't the toilets both behave the same? I am not a plumber, so . . . suggestions?

Jeff

When you say "flushing slow" do you mean draining slow? That's a clog down the drain, likely close to the slow flushing toilet rather than the main drain pipe leading out of the house.

If you mean "water flowing slowly into the toilet" that's the vents under the rim of the toilet clogged with calcium from age. You can try cleaning them with vinegar, don't use chemicals that will harm your septic. This is usually a sign to replace that toilet. Toto Drake is the premium favorite around here.

When you mention "decades" hopefully you have had your septic inspected more recently than that?
