Frozen tub spout

Any one for advice:
In my tub the spout for the tub pipe is galvanized and seems to be frozen. I've tried using a pipe wrench to no avail. I'm a disabled vet and I don't have the strenght anymore & don't want to break it. I really cant use a torch, seeing as the pipe joint is behide the tub wall, and there is no access opening.

Should I use a pipe extension to snap it loose? Or cut an opening and replace it all from the back side?

Author: packy (MA) since you have a wall on the backside that you can cut, i would cut it and do he work from the backside. you should be able to apply plenty of heat from the opening on the backdide. if you open it up and are puzzled, post a picture and someone will help. they make all kinds of access panels so your wall will look nice when you are done..
